Client: Sotheby’s

I worked within the design team at Sotheby’s between April 2015 and August 2021.

I worked across digital and print, on projects including book design, brochures, magazine and newspaper advertising, invitations, gallery guides, banner advertising, evites, paid social, and email signatures. I also worked on exhibition branding.

I collaborated with the production managers and the marketing teams both in London and worldwide, to deliver imaginative design solutions to complex briefs whilst working within the scope of brand guidelines. I managed and prioritised large job lists with multiple (often overlapping) project deadlines and enjoyed the process of negotiating with a wide range of project stakeholders.

Highlights included working with facilities and display on a full redesign of the gallery guides to give exhibition visitors a more informed, pleasurable and relaxing experience of the galleries, as well as designing a hardback book for Jonquil O’Reilly entitled ‘The Costumist’ which uses fashion to reveal the wider context of old master paintings.
